This programme is for children and young people aged 8 - 25 with specialist and complex physical and learning disabilities. We recognise the need for extra support during school holidays for carers for young people with complex needs and the extra stress put on the families during these times.
We are offering a £15,000 pot to fund local organisations to deliver services. This funding pot is for front line delivery across the holidays, focusing on accessible services for children and young people with SEND. Please note children and young people are not required to have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
The common theme that we will expect to see in applications is:
- Developing self-confidence and self-esteem
- Developing additional knowledge, skills and resilience to support them in their lives.
- Activities should both be enjoyable, educational and challenging.
Organisations must show how children and young people have been actively involved in the development of a service offer.
