Maintenance and upkeep

During the life of the parklet, the Parklet Owner will be responsible for its regular maintenance and upkeep. They will also be responsible for the eventual removal of the parklet at the end of its life span or lease.

The council will monitor the parklet during its life following installation and at regular intervals.

Should the parklet fall into disrepair it will be removed by the Parklet Owner, who will be liable for the expense of removal and disposal.

Feedback from the community and internal council teams will be monitored and parklets may be removed if there are valid and ongoing concerns.

Businesses will be required to sign a Parklet Owner Agreement (DOC 203KB) which outlines the responsibilities.
