Council responsibilities
We will:
- Support you through the process and provide regular updates on the process.
- Check the application meets the location and parklet fundamentals criteria in the Parklet Design Guidance (DOCX 140KB).
- Provide an assessment and feedback on the design.
- Grant approval if the parklet meets the criteria.
- Organise a change of Traffic Order which allows the parklet to be on the road. (Costs to be met by the council.)
- Carry out any road works required to place a parklet on site, such as new road markings or barriers. (Costs to be met by the business.)
