Officers have carried out a review of the current parking, waiting and loading restrictions situation in and around West Norwood Town Centre, from the junction of Norwood Road with Lancaster Avenue and York Hill southwards to West Norwood station.
Issues identified focus on:
- the inability to receive deliveries and pick-up purchases due to lack of dedicated loading facilities;
- issues of pedestrian safety due to parked cars obstructing crossing points and footways;
- traffic congestion and delays to bus services due to illegal and inappropriate parking; and
- a need for improved enforcement.
