London Plan review
The Greater London Authority has commenced work on the preparation of the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) as part of the London Plan review.
The assessment identifies sites appropriate for housing, considers their potential, and assesses when they are likely to be developed.
A critical step in producing the assessment is undertaking a Call for Sites exercise.
This is an opportunity for developers, landowners, community organisations, and members of the public to identify sites that could be suitable for housing development.
This data will continuously be pulled through a new online LAND4LDN platform for review and assessment by London boroughs.
The Call for Sites exercise and the SHLAA are part of the process of identifying housing targets for Greater London as a whole and each of the London boroughs.
The Call for Sites process is now live and is open for six weeks. It will be reopened regularly to maintain an up-to-date dataset.
Further details on the process and how to submit a site can be found on the GLA’s Call for Sites webpage.
