Proposed controlled parking zone Streatham Hill area

Charting the history of the proposed Streatham Hill area CPZ’s

Proposed Hailsham Avenue Area CPZ, 25 July 2019

Why are you consulting this area for CPZ?

Residents of roads within the Hailsham Avenue Area (Streatham Hill Ward) were asked for their views on parking as part of the Streatham Area Attitudinal Survey 2018. At this time the majority of residents did not consider that they had a parking problem, however, many did say that if a CPZ were to be introduced in neighbouring streets that they would change their mind about a CPZ being introduced in their road.

In July 2019 the decision was taken to proceed to statutory consultation on the proposed 'Streatham Hill East' CPZ which abuts the Hailsham Avenue Area. In view of this decision, the attitudinal survey results for this area, resident requests received by Streatham Hill Ward Councillors and concerns to avoid displacement parking, a decision has been made to undertake a Stage 1 public consultation on proposals for the inclusion of the Hailsham Avenue Area into the proposed 'Streatham Hill East' CPZ, were that scheme to be introduced (currently proposed to operate Monday-Friday, 10.00am-12 noon).

The consultation will be commencing shortly.
