The UK parliamentary general election takes place on 4 July 2024. Ensure you bring a prescribed form of Voter ID if you are voting at a polling station.
The Lambeth Civic Awards ceremony was held on Wednesday 7 February 2024 at Lambeth Town Hall. This was an incredible celebration of a huge array of amazing individuals and organisations across Lambeth that give their time, work, and passion to help and improve the lives of others.
From a total of over 370 nominations, there were 57 finalists and 12 award-winners which were announced on the night. The evening was hosted by Brixton-born artist FLOetic Lara Lee and the ceremony included a range of local performers and entertainment from Lambeth’s Poet Laureate, Abstract Benna and a dance performance by Neon Performing Arts. This was a great opportunity to showcase the amazing talent we have right here in Lambeth. The Lambeth Civic Awards 2024 were an amazing opportunity to recognise and celebrate the immense contributions of our passionate voluntary sector, vibrant business community, and the incredible people of Lambeth and all they do for the community.
You can find a few words of thanks from the Mayor of Lambeth, Councillor Sarbaz Barznji, on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.
Thank you to everybody who took the time to nominate somebody for an award or took part in supporting the awards process. We warmly encourage everybody to keep a look out for the next round of the Lambeth Civic Awards and in future, nominate someone who you know is having a positive impact on the community around them.
