1. Do you manage your open spaces yourself or are they are outsourced?

2. If they are outsourced, what is the name of the company/companies that manage them?

3. What is your policy for weed control in the open spaces - parks, sports fields, grass verges etc?

4. Do you use herbicides containing glyphosate e.g. Roundup, Weedol etc

5. If yes, what do you use

6. What areas have been sprayed with herbicides containing glyphosate?

7. What is your policy on the use of glyphosate?

8. What precautions were taken ahead of its use?

9.  For the calendar years 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022, please can you tell me: The volume of these herbicides you have you used and the cost.

Our response

1. Lambeth Council manage our own open spaces but those listed below are managed by third parties.

2. The Rookery - Streatham Common Cooperative, Myatt's Fields Parks - Myatt's Fields Park Project, Bernie Spain Gardens - Coin Street Waterloo Millennium Green,  BOST Eythorne Park, Camberwell Submarine Open, Space and Dan Leno Gardens, as well as other smaller open spaces in Oval Quarter,  Regenter Bonnington Square Pleasure Garden - Bonnington Square Garden Association,  Harleyford Road Community Garden - Bonnington Square Garden Association, Brixton Orchard - Brixton BID St Mary at Lambeth Gardens, Garden Museum Papa's Park - Papa's Park charity.
