Your request
I would like to know the following:
a. The name of every individual primary school, secondary school, learning centre and Special Educational Needs schools - including all alternative provision academies, special schools or other centres catering for SEND specific needs - in your area currently under a PFI or PF2 contract signed between 1992 and 2018.
b. The address of every individual primary school, secondary school, learning centre and Special Educational Needs schools - including all alternative provision academies, special schools or other centres catering for SEND specific needs - in your area currently under a PFI or PF2 contract signed between 1992 and 2018.
c. The date each of those contracts became operational.
d. The length of each of those contracts in years.
e. Whether any of the sites listed above is not being used at all or is being used as anything other than a school (please list its current purpose in your response).
Our response
Lambeth has one school under a PFI contract – Lilian Bayliss Technology School, 323 Kennington Lane, London SE11 5QY, a maintained secondary school.
Contract financial close was 25 March 2003. The PFI has a 25 year operational phase which started 4 January 2005 and is due to end 4 January 2030. A supplemental agreement was entered into in 2011 with 6th Form provision becoming part of the PFI from autumn 2012.
All of the premises in the PFI contract are currently being used by the school.
