Your request and our response

1. Which company or organisation carries out your authority’s road marking work? (Note: For example, this could be an in-house road maintenance workforce, a highway term maintenance contractor or a specialist sub-contractor employed by them)

The authorities road marking works are currently carried out by the Highways Term Contractor (Ringway Infrastructure Services Ltd)

2. What is your authority’s approximate annual spend on road marking including any related work such as high friction surfacing, crack and joint sealing etc?

Approximately £50,000.00

3. When did the current contract or arrangement, which includes road marking and related work, start (MM/YYYY)? And what was the agreed contract length?

The contract is for 8 + 4 years and commenced on 1 April 2021.

4. In order to be considered for future road marking or any other road work, how should we register our interest?

Lambeth Council have opted in 2020 to join the London Highways Alliance Framework (LoHAC). The central London contractor is Ringways. They are now the council incumbent Highways contractor both from a reactive and proactive contractor. The only element of public realm works that are not progressed by Ringways is Public Realm Street Lighting. Public Realm Street lighting is progressed by our PFI contractor Bouygues who are contracted until 2027.
