Your request
I would be grateful if you would provide information on the number of fly-tipping penalty charges handed out by the council, or on behalf of the council, in the last three years and the last five years.
Without prejudice to the first request, I would also like information on:
(i) the locations where they were handed out
(ii) the means by which the offence was detected, e.g. CCTV, officer patrol, other, etc.
Our response
As the department's contract (Serco) is relatively new, the information we can provide only dates back to January 2019 at which time the figures were accumulated quarterly.
Jan to Mar 2019 = 30
April to June 2019 – s33 = 161
July to September 2019 - s33 = 70
October to December 2019 - s33 = 129
January to March 2020 - s33 = 37
