Buying your council home (Right to Buy)

The Right to Buy (RTB) scheme gives eligible council tenants the right to buy their home from the council at a discount.

How to apply

We no longer provide or accept paper RTB1 application forms, it's quick and easy to apply online and submit your Right to Buy application.

The secure tenant (and any additional family members that qualify as a family member) must register for the right to buy which can be done online.

If you are interested in making a Right to Buy application, you will need to login into your Lambeth Tenant Account.

If you need support with the online application, we can help you complete this in person at the Civic Centre.

Please contact the Sales Team on 020 7926 6524 to arrange an appointment or come to our Wednesday Walk in sessions.

Once the application is received the sales team will contact you within 5 working days to advise you of your allocated caseworker and request further documentation.

You will be required to make an appointment at our Civic Centre to verify your identity, sign your application and go through any queries you may have.

Please make sure we have your most up to date email address as you will receive an acknowledgement email inviting you and all applicants to book an appointment to attend the Lambeth Civic Centre, 6 Brixton Hill, London SW2 1EG to provide the following documents:
