Toad Hall Nursery School

Toad Hall has been running since Vivien Rees opened the school in 1985. It runs term time for 37 to 38 weeks a year and is in a terraced house in a quiet residential triangle off Kennington Road.

It is a Montessori school with a team of long serving teachers and takes children from the age of 2 years old. Children can attend all day or for a selection of morning and afternoon sessions. Children are encouraged to learn through exploration of materials and equipment. Toad Hall prepares children for primary school so that they are able to participate and interact from the outset.
Toad Hall has always fully embraced the Government 15 or 30 free hour scheme. Parents choose how many sessions they wish their child to attend. Only hours in excess of the free hour entitlement incur any charge.

There are no other compulsory costs involved in attending Toad Hall except the purchase of the school smock. Children bring their own packed lunch and snacks for break time.
