The West Indian Association of Service Personnel (WASP) was established over 60 years ago by a group of Caribbean WWII Veterans with the aim of providing support and comradeship to ex-service men and women from all commonwealth countries in the Caribbean. “WINDRUSH DAY” is celebrated annually on the 22nd June in the United Kingdom, to commemorate the first Caribbean settlers landing at Tilbury.

The influence that these early Caribbean pioneers made in sharing their culture and customs from their home lands and Islands should not be underestimated, and with the many post-war Caribbean people who came after them, helped shape the UK into what it is today, a unique, special, vibrant, diverse nation of great professionals, literature, film, music and arts communities and people.

This year, at a special community event with an open invite to all W.A.S.P. presents THE WINDRUSH COMMEMORATION & CELEBRATION 2022 Sunday 26th June 10am-5pm Windrush Square, Brixton, SW2 1EF ORDER OF EVENTS 10 AM ASSEMBLE FOR MARCH PASS
