Meet at Lambeth North Station, 110 Westminster Bridge Road, SE1 7XG

A guided walk exploring the cultural impact of Melody, Lambeth’s very own cult movie, and the Kennington locations where it was filmed 53 years ago. A tale of puppy love between two twelve year-olds’ ends in rebellion by pupils against their parents and school. Released in 1971 and directed by Waris Hussain, it reunited the stars of the musical Oliver!, Mark Lester and Jack Wild. 400 pupils from Archbishop Temple School appeared as extras. Join David Turnbull for this walk.
