To remember Benjamin Zephaniah, a poet of our times, we will be planting a tree at Minet Library. The planting is part of the boroughwide Lambeth Tree Planting Programme

Those close to Benjamin, who died in December 2023 said:

"We recommend, that if you want to, please plant something like flowers or trees anywhere you wish and name them as Benjamin Zephaniah in memory of him"

The planting will be in collaboration with local primary schools, Lambeth Libraries and Tree Services and will feature nature-based poetry written by local children to celebrate the life and rhymes of Benjamin Zephaniah. For more information email treeguardians@lambeth.gov.uk
