Memories of our future - Alvin Kofi portrait painting drop-in event

What’s shared between Artist and Sitter is often deeply personal and revealing.  

We invite you to participate in a live portrait painting session with Alvin Kofi in conversation with his sitter (one of Lambeth's friendliest Security Officer), as part of our Memories of Our Future exhibition and Windrush 2024 celebrations. 

Join us to witness Kofi’s artistic process as he draws from his own life experiences and delves into his sitter's story, life and journey whilst creating a live portrait. The audience will be invited to join the conversation throughout, ask questions and share their stories.

Individuals are welcome to paint/draw the sitter alongside Kofi, painting the sitter and interpreting the conversation in their own way through portraiture. Or you are more than welcome to just come along to be part of the conversation.
