Come along to Brixton Library to celebrate Jamaica and 60 years of Independence. We will be making carnival headdresses. Fun for all the family. Spaces are limited so do book early.
Age 7+
Throughout Black History Month, Lambeth's children and young people library services will celebrate the contribution and achievements of people of Jamaican heritage through a range of storytelling, talks, quizzes and arts and crafts events and activities. We look at the significance of the Windrush Generation, the contribution of soldiers who fought in the world wars, of nurses to the NHS and the influence of Jamaican music.
