Beyond the Photo Documentary Screening + Q&A with Director Cathy Hassan

Do we stop to think about the story that lies behind a photo, and its true significance?  Beyond a Photo is a documentary that helps important, yet invisible, community narratives come to light – using photographs to tell the stories. Tracing the journey of a photo depicting two young friends in the 1970s, the photo is revisited decades later to chronicle the personal stories that help shape Black British history. Join us for a screening of the documentary at Minet Library followed by a Q&A with its director Cathy Hassan.
