Do you need volunteers?
There are currently over 1000 Team Lambeth volunteers, with more applying every day. Volunteers are based across Lambeth and have a range of skills and backgrounds. They are available and willing to be involved in general volunteering activities, alongside more specialised support.

If you are a food bank or another organisation providing direct support to people who are vulnerable and are concerned about how you can continue to provide your service, it is our priority to support you. Please contact engagement@lambeth.gov.uk.
Funding and support available
The Lambeth Local Economy Support package includes:

Rent relief for three months for voluntary and community sector and businesses that rent council properties and are most impacted by the crisis. This benefits over 220 local small businesses and community organisations.

Additional money is available for small grants through CrowdfundLambeth, the requirement to match fund has been lifted.
Lambeth:
- We have set up a dedicated information page for businesses/organisations in Lambeth which we will be using to share updates.
London:
- If you are an arts organisation, business or individual working in the cultural sector, creative industries or night-time economy in London, please visit the Mayor of London’s Culture at Risk page to register your details for support, guidance and resources.
National:
- The Government has announced that all non-essential retail premises must close to limit the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19). It is important that all Lambeth businesses urgently read the new guidance.
National government support:
- Any employer, including charitable or non-profit, will be eligible for the Coronavirus Job Retention scheme to get support to help them pay wages for employees that would otherwise be laid off during the crisis.

London Community Foundation will be providing grants to help local charities support people suffering hardship due to the coronavirus outbreak. Subscribe to their newsletter for more information about when this will be launched.

Arts Council England are making £160 million of emergency funding available for those organisations and individuals who will need it during this crisis.

London Funders have announced a new emergency fund to support VCS organisations who are facing immediate financial pressures and uncertainty due to coronavirus. Full details have yet to be announced so check the website and subscribe to the newsletter.

Supporting staff and volunteers to work from home: The government’s social distancing measures including working from home where possible. The NCVO coronavirus webpage provides advice on areas to consider
