Have your say on private rented housing standards in Lambeth

Open date: Monday, 2 March 2020 at 9.00am Close date: Monday, 23 March 2020 at 11.00pm Type: Consultation Neighbourhood: Lambeth wide

Please note this consultation is closed

We want to hear your views about private rented housing standards in Lambeth and any related matters of concern. The consultation runs from 2 March 2020 to 23 March 2020. Have your say now.

Purpose

We want to hear the views of tenants, landlords, letting agents, local businesses and neighbours and their representative bodies about private rented housing standards and any wider matters of concern that arise from private rented housing. The information we gather will help the council to consider whether it might be in the public interest to bring forward proposals that could widen the type and number of privately rented homes that are required to be licensed by the council.

No decision has been taken about whether such a proposal should be brought forward, what any proposal might be, what type of housing might be included and what areas of the borough could be included.

Next steps

The information gathered from this survey will be collated along with a range of other sources of evidence that are being gathered and analysed to build a fuller understanding of the situation and the potential need and benefits of any future proposal to extend landlord licensing.

In the event that any such proposal is made in future, that proposal will be separately subject to a full public consultation of at least 10 weeks duration.

How to respond

This consultation ended on Monday 23 March 2020 and is now closed for responses.
