Have your say on our draft design guidance for new development in Lambeth

Lambeth Council is consulting on a new Design Code Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) which will assist property owners and designers to deliver good quality built outcomes. The consultation runs from 11 February to 7 April 2020. Have your say now.

The Council is consulting on a new Design Code Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) as part of a two-stage process. The SPD is being prepared as guidance to support the policies of the emerging Draft Revised Lambeth Local Plan Proposed Submission Version.

The Design Code is in five parts:

• Part 1 – Understanding Lambeth
• Part 2 – Design Advice for All Development
• Part 3 – New Buildings
• Part 4 – Building Alterations and Extensions
• Part 5 - Basements

We want to hear from all relevant stakeholders including local residents, property owners and designers.

Your feedback will be reviewed and used to inform any amendments to the draft SPD. There will then be a second opportunity to comment on the draft SPD before it is finalised. As this is additional guidance on a policy within the Local Plan it is anticipated that the final SPD will be adopted in early 2021 at the same time as the new Local Plan.
