We want your views on how we can improve Rush Common woodland walk in Brixton. The consultation runs from 12 July to 30 September 2019. Share your views with us by completing our online survey below.

We are drawing together ideas for practical improvements to Rush Common: the long public woodland walk alongside Brixton Hill. Specifically the section opposite Lambeth College between Brixton Water Lane, St Matthew’s Estate, and St Matthews Road.

Our aim is to keep the natural character of this historic common, building on the woodland walk, while improving play facilities, and seating and encouraging walking.

Please tell us how you use Rush Common and your ideas and priorities for the future. Some points to consider when completing the survey are:

  • Do you walk into Brixton this way, or live nearby?
  • Would you use an improved play area?
  • Do you run through it or use it to improve your fitness?
  • Maybe you just sit out in the evening sunshine?
  • Would you like different benches, or somewhere to eat out here?
  • Would you like to see more planting for bees and wildflowers?
  • Is there anything else we can do to help here?
