If you’re worried about your child’s progress in school, or their development in early years, speak to:
- your GP or health visitor, if your child isn’t in nursery or school
- their nursery worker
- their teacher or the special educational needs coordinator at the school.
They'll be able to discuss your concerns about your child and offer advice and support, and they may be able to refer them for further help or an assessment.
It could be useful to keep a behaviour diary leading up to any discussions about your concerns regarding your child, and may be useful if you are referred.
