Comparison, practice and performance

  • NHS RightCare intelligence products identify where local health economies can prioritise their efforts to have the most impact in healthcare improvement for populations.
  • National General Practice Profiles (Fingertips) support GPs, CCGs and local authorities to ensure that they are providing and commissioning effective and appropriate healthcare services for their local population.
  • Public health outcomes framework (Fingertips) sets out a vision for public health, concentrating on two high-level outcomes which focus on improving not only how long people live, but how well they live at all stages of life. It monitors specific indicators grouped into four ‘domains’, in order to understand how well public health is being improved and protected.
  • Spend and outcomes tool (SPOT) enables the identification of areas requiring priority attention, and where shifts in investment will optimise local health gains and improve quality.
