If your needs assessment finds that you require care in your own home, we'll develop a care and support plan to understand what services are necessary to meet your needs.
We'll then calculate how much the care and support will cost. This is known as your personal budget.
Your personal budget will include:
- your own contributions towards the cost of this care as decided by a financial assessment
- our contribution.
Most people will need to pay something towards the cost of their care and support.
To find out what your contribution will be towards the cost of your care, we will need to conduct a financial assessment.
To get a quick estimation of how much you could be contributing towards the cost of your care, before getting a full financial assessment, use our social care contribution estimator. You’ll be asked to enter details of your financial circumstances, and the estimator will use these details to calculate an estimate of your contribution.
Please be aware that the care contribution estimator will give an estimate of your care contribution, as an individual, based on the information you enter only, but you will need to have a full financial assessment to get the most accurate and up-to-date care contribution.
