The supported living services we commission provide accommodation and support for adults with social care needs. Accommodation is either a shared house or single occupancy unit.
We commission 30 supported living schemes in Lambeth and we can also arrange placements with other providers.
Types of support
Examples of the types of help that can be provided in supported living are:
- daily living support, such as shopping, cleaning, and personal care
- budgeting, housing issues and benefits
- banking, shopping, eating out and religious activities
- accessing medical services and following a healthy lifestyle
- attending college and day activities
- attending social and leisure activities
- accessing work opportunities
How it works
To be eligible for supported living, a social worker will talk to you about all your options and agree if supported living is the best way to meet your care and support needs.
You will have a tenancy to your home, and will need to pay rent to the organisation that your tenancy is with.
To help with the costs, you may be able to get Housing Benefit or Universal Credit.
For information about the service, please contact the Adult Social Care Team via our Adult Social Care referral form.
If your enquiry is urgent, please call 0207 926 5555.
