Councillor Jennifer Brathwaite
Jennifer Brathwaite is Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Children and Young People. She has been a councillor for Gipsy Hill ward since 2010.
She is a solicitor by profession specialising in Landlord and Tenant law particularly Leasehold Enfranchisement. As well as having her own law firm she was also a partner for a medium sized London firm of solicitors. She has a particular interest in helping tenants to understand their rights and obligations.
Since becoming a councillor in 2010 she has been a member of the planning committee, chair of environmental and community safely scrutiny sub committee and led a commission on metal theft. She is currently Deputy Leader and cabinet member for children and young people.
